The Mission Outreach Committee

The committee works together as a team to carefully consider where funds are applied for The Mission Fund and The Jim & Alberta Davis Education Fund.

THE MISSION FUND

The Mission Committee looks to help those less fortunate in our community.  Some of the programs that are supported are: River of Life meal every 5th Sunday during the year, Centennial Manor Potluck twice per year, Donation to the Idaho Diaper Bank, and the Idaho Food Bank for the Picnic in the park.

THE JAMES AND ALBERTA DAVIS EDUCATION FUND

ALL ARE WELCOME!  Pam Cardinale - Committee Representative

St. Mark's/St. Stephen's Food Bank:
Each person who comes into the food bank is given a large paper grocery bag and a box with food items to help sustain them. It is such a wonderful feeling to help these people and they are so appreciative. A smile, conversation and food go a long way to help make their day better.

A special thank you from the Mission Committee for everything you do to help make their day better.
The food bank is open most week days from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday is our day to help make their day better.  -Elaine Harries

THE RIVER OF LIFE....sometimes referred to as the "Soup Kitchen", has been located in the Community House building since 2000. The Café is only one part of the community effort to make sure that people are not hungry in Boise and provides just under 90,000 of the more than 250,000 individual meals that are served annually. Meals are served at Baltes Community Café each day (including weekends, holidays, and the summer) at lunch and dinner, and breakfast is served Monday through Friday. Members from St. Stephen's serve on the 5th Sunday of the month. Contact Leonise Yate for more information.  lcy399@hotmail.com
